Hello Fellow Bloggers, Blogites, Blogophiles!

Oh heavens, this is actually happening!  I am about to post my very first blog...seems like a fitting thing to do a mere 39 minutes from a new year.  I feel like a little chick, peeking out of its cracked-open shell, trying to decide if I really want to step out into this.  But yes, I will, and I will give this blogging "thang" a chance to take shape.  And of course I will worry with every post that I'm being nerdy, cheesy, and my typical flailing self, but I will grow accustomed to this...exposure.  And I look forward to it.  And I welcome you along for the trip!
